Roxanne Greitz Miller

Roxanne Greitz Miller is Assistant Professor of Education at Chapman University.  She teaches courses in science education and secondary teaching methods, and conducts research into the connections between science and literacy.  

Professor Miller's interests include Pre K-12 science education, particularly the role of language and literacy in the construction of science knowledge; transference of science inquiry skills to other subject areas; and pre-service teacher education and teacher professional development.

Prior to assuming a university appointment, Professor Miller was a secondary science teacher in the Florida public schools.  She holds California and Florida teaching credentials in biology/biological sciences, chemistry, middle grades instruction, and gifted education.  During her career as a classroom teacher, Professor Miller was recognized at the school, district, and national levels for outstanding teaching and service to the profession.
